REGISTRATION OPEN

Barnepark M Maternelle is a private nursery school that provides continuity with Barnepark A and B crèches. The kindergarten project is being developed in parallel with the after-school care project. La Garderie has also signed an agreement with the European Commission. The day-care service complements the school's daily operations, as well as during the summer vacations. The aim is to provide families with quality care throughout the year. With this in mind, the two projects integrate and enrich the Barnepark educational offering.

CULTURAL DIVERSITY / BILINGUAL APPROACH

The cultural integration of each child is central to the Barnepark M project. Interculturalism is a point of reference for educational proposals, in the knowledge that each child and each family represents a "cultural world", made up of unique and specific characteristics. The home environment is also the place where parents meet.

Against this backdrop, the Barnepark M kindergarten is unique in that it offers care and supervision based on learning French and English, or French and Italian. The school thus becomes a place where children can take an interest in both languages, learn them in a playful way and immerse themselves while playing.

  • Differences should be seen as part of everyday life;
  • Space gives visibility to other cultures;
  • Everyone's native language is welcome, to enable interaction;
  • Different conceptions of childhood and how to care for children can be expressed, compared and exchanged.

AUTONOMY

Helping your children to become independent is one of our school's main missions. Empowering children doesn't mean leaving them to fend for themselves, but enabling them to :

Autonomy is a complex notion that can be defined according to multiple criteria, and that presents and expresses itself in many forms (intellectual, linguistic, affective, bodily, etc.).

  • Solving problem situations ;
  • Choose
  • Try

MEALS

A school-age child's diet is essential for his or her growth, psychomotor development and learning ability. It must be balanced, varied and spread throughout the day. Mealtime is a time for sharing, discovery, relaxation and socialization.

Menus vary with the seasons.The school has a large, fully-equipped kitchen, with all meals prepared daily by our staff. Particular attention is paid to the quality of the products and the balance of the menus on offer.

WELCOMING FAMILIES

Since children develop through their ties with their families, the school plays a continuing role in the process of building and educating them. That's why she needs a stable, long-term relationship with her parents. This relationship, based on mutual respect, takes the form of meetings, exchanges and moments of sharing of different kinds:

  • Individual and group interviews
  • Regular meetings (at the beginning of the year to present the school year and at the end of the year for a collective assessment)
  • Christmas and New Year celebrations
  • Parent/child workshops
  • Weekly section outings
